After living under the his roof for a month in Bali, Nathan Myers got the chance to witness the fruits of his artist friend at work. One night over dinner he took the chance to have a one on one talk with pro surfer and artist Mike Losness.
Here’s a snippet from Losness on the best advice he’d ever received: “My dad told me when I was young that I could do anything in life as long as I tried my hardest. If I didn’t know it, he said, I could just learn it from a book. Books hold a wealth of knowledge and can teach you everything from the smallest to the most complex things in life.”
Not your stereotypical media button holed surfer me thinks.
On being asked how we would want to be remembered, Losness answered, “I just want to be remembered as a good friend and honest person. Hopefully in the future I can do something to improve our oceans and be remembered for making a difference.”
What a good all round bloke.
