One mans trash is another mans treasure so the saying goes. Well San Diego artist Rich Morrison has shown this to be true by shaping his very own board made entirely out of beer cans!
Here’s a vid of him shaping the 72 can board into a fully rideable beast:

I love the idea and the fine work by the master craftsman. It’s great to see someone combining a love of surfing with recycling (cue shameless plug to our own flip flops recycling initiative!)
If I’ve got one small bone to pick with Morrison however it’s his taste in beer.
Budweiser, Modelo, PBR, Rolling Rock and Boddington’s? That to me does not sound like a sufficient blend of malt and hops Mr. Morrison.
Where’s your Heineken, your Stella’s, Grolsch and Red Stripe? Or how about your Tennants Super, your Kronenbourg 1664′s and your Carlsberg Exports? I don’t think you’ve really thought this through especially should you ever want to be let into a pub in Scotland.
