After six consecutive flat days off on the Gold Coast you’d expect spirits to be flagging a bit but as Travis Ferre reports in Surfing Magazine they’re having none of it.
With the drinking and partying, as well as trips up the coast with Dillon Perillo and Co, the vibe remains upbeat and happy. As he rightly points out surfers know how to have fun and instead of rotting in the corner and moaning they roll out and leave dust.
“Who are we to be bummed? We’re surfers, we know the ocean doesn’t play by rules, and neither do we. So instead of going into a grumbling rant of sadness and gloom about how depressed we are about it being flat, I’m going to show you quite the opposite.” states Surfing Magazine Editor Travis Ferré. Now that’s a man speaking the truth!
