As I type this I am sat at FFC HQ with a hot water bottle up my jumper but still sporting a pair of havaianas flip flops. You see foolish as that may sound I believe that despite the minus 10 wind chill, the snow on the ground and the unrelenting numbness that is my foot, I, as a flip flops believer, need to carry the torch through wind and rain and never remove my lovely havs!
There are somethings in life that always seem to make me nostalgic. Any time I listen to Enter the Wu Tang (36 Chambers), A Tribe Called Quests ‘Electric Relaxation’ or see ‘Withnail and I’ my mind casts back to simpler times as a teenager. Whether cained in the forest or hanging out on the beach they instantly cast me back to situations that leave me either creasing up with laughter or wistful for some unfulfilled promise.
Harry the flip flops frog, where he hops, no one logs… he is as happy as can be!
Or so goes the child like theme tune when I look at these pics. Talk about commitment to flip flops sculpture. No wonder we were having trouble sourcing some havaianas flip flops from Brazil! All the one’s in Sau Paulo have been used building Harry!
I’ve just not been able to get this tune out of my head of recent. I love it. It’s been a long old time since that kind of thing has happened where the tune lodged in the old noggin is actually decent and not some rubbish pop.
